Hello everyone. I am in need of a recommendation for a place to stay in Cassino for 2 nights. Restaurant recommendations would be welcomed also. I will be there the end of October this year. If there are any other suggestions, tips, or things to be aware of, please chime in. We will be driving from FCO to Cassino. I do not think a ZTL would be in that city. Am I correct in this assumption? I have driven in Italy before but that was about 10 years ago or more. I have no desire to drive in Rome, is there a better area for me to pick up my rental car close to FCO that is between FCO and Cassino? I am getting a car because of the exploring we will be doing around Cassino.

I’ve used this web site to check on ZTL’s and have found it to be quite reliable. It does not show any in Cassino. From FCO, you would skirt the edge of Rome on the way to Cassino. The E80 from the airport is a six lane roadway that leads to the A1. No reason not to get car at FCO.
