I wish to buy a cashmere poncho and wonder are there any shops to visit in Milan next month?
Milan is the fashion capital of Italy so there are definitely shops that sell pretty much whatever you're looking for, but it probably depends on what your budget is for where you want to go looking.
Many places specifically sell cashmere - these are two famous brands.

But there are many options and several shopping areas. I would decide on your budget, do some searching and then shop at an appropriate place. That could be designer store, department store or even second hand stores. With so much cashmere around you might get lucky and find one cheap second hand.
Happy hunting,

I don't know if you have ever tried to travel with cashmere but my experience is that it is a nightmare. It pills up terribly where it rubs against coats, purses or other fabrics. I'm from SoCal so I didn't have a clue what I was doing with winter clothes. After my trip, during which I discarded most of the cashmere, I asked a high end saleswoman if I would have been better off spending $500-1000 on it instead of $300. She told me no, it is very delicate. If you are wanting a poncho to wear around the house or around town for light use (a concert maybe) go for it. For winter travel, I only take light weight merino wool. Washes nicely, dries quick, always looks neat, no nasty synthetic fibers to pollute the environment.
You can't spit a spritz without hitting a clothing store in Milan!
