Caserta

I was reading over previous post but couldn’t find the answers I was looking for. They’re in there somewhere I just couldn’t get to them.
1) Lodging. Jean you mentioned “favorite lodging in Caserta”. Can you please share again the name of the place you enjoy?
2) There seems to be multiple places designated as best pizza. Does anyone have a restaurant they found me memorable in Caserta?

Thank you. We will be stopping there on our way from Puglia to Rome in October.

These two publications linked below are premiere gourmet publications which have chosen their best. The first is the most updated.

I Masanielli are 2 famous pizzerias, owned by two brothers (Francesco and Salvatore, aka Sasà). Never been there but they are rated the top of the top. Recommended also by a Casertan friend.

A prior post on Caserta says we should purchase our tickets ~30 days out. Is this a site that actually sells out? I was under the impression that it was much less congested than many other sites. We'll be driving from Rome (late April trip) and stopping in Caserta on our way to Ravello. I was hoping we could purchase tickets once we arrive versus in advance, that way we're not locked into a specific timed entry. Appreciate any insights!

We were in Caserta in April and just walked up and bought tickets. No lines. There were a few small tour groups, but not crowded at all. It is a magnificent site and really worth a visit. I can imagine that during more busy months advance tickets might be necessary.
