Cascina Della Musica, Costigliole d'Asti

Looking for any forum members that have stayed in this country hotel. Great reviews on Tripadvisor and Booking.com, and the location is also good, SW of Asti, so convenient to both the Monferrato and Langhe regions. I am inclined to book a room here, but a personal recommendation would definitely help! Here is a link to the hotel: https://www.lacascinadellamusica.it/en/

The area is beautiful. We stayed right outside of Alba at Villa Favorita in the Langhe region which we enjoyed. Easy driving and access to the many villages in the area. We visited a different village every day
and would have lunch there.

Suki, I like the sound of touring the region with our taste buds! How was the parking in the smaller villages you visited?

With regard to visiting the numerous small villages, maybe you could give me your opinion on how long we should plan our stay in this area. My gut feel is that a week would give us plenty of time to explore the larger cities and towns (Asti, Alba, Bra, Cuneo) as well as the more notable smaller villages (too many to list), spend a day visiting a winery or two, and maybe a day trip farther afield (Genoa would be a pretty easy day trip from Asti if we need a city break), and of course a hike in those gorgeous rolling hills. We can stretch our time to 9 nights (8 days not including transfer days), which appeals to me partly because it also reduces the time needed to transfer between accommodations (which is an annoying but necessary time waster). The Cascina Della Musica has availability for that number of nights, but I would be inclined to look for an apartment or house for that long of a stay-that way we would have a kitchen and a washing machine, two nice features for longer stays.
