Ciao all: Casa Guadagno seems like a great place to stay but what about the "Annex"? Anyone stay there? Concerned about comments I've heard about "paper thin" walls and you have to go to the main building for the breakfast.
A search turns up no prior mentions of this property in the RS forums. That's really not surprising given the hundreds of accommodations in the area! A quick search on the net turns up only one complaint within the past year about 'thin walls' in the annex, and that reviewer also hadn't paid heed to the MANY cautions about the amount of stairs involved in staying at this property, annex or main building. They're not an issue IF you are aware in advance, and IF you are willing to manage them, as many guests were. Even the hotel replied with this after one guest's complaint:
"Positano is full of stairs, unfortunately it is not for everyone.."
Truly said, that. Oh, and I saw a single complaint about noise from a guest staying next to the reception room.
Nothing says you have to stay in the annex. If you have a concerns, just book a room in the main building. As discussed in your other post, this is a basic-level guesthouse with minimum amenities so while very positively reviewed by the vast majority of prior guests, I would manage my expectations for perfection. :O)
