Hello-- I saw the thread on this forum from 2022, and how easy it is to get a CartaFreccia-- but wondering if it still is possible? A week ago I applied for passes for my wife and myself, but haven't heard anything back-- anybody know if they are still issuing them to foreigners, and how long it takes? -- Thanks, Carl Davis, Orcas Island, WA
And this is in Italy-- sorry for not mentioning that very important part! -- Carl
There were several discussions of this a while back
As I recall some got it quickly and others took forever
Here is the search-read thru these

Did you use the form that is for applicants residing abroad and email it? According to the FAQ it says you should get a reply in 45 days. I have read that some are getting it faster now. I think when we did it in late 2022, we got them within about that time.

Question 2, section 2.3
I applied this past September. It took about 2 weeks. As mentioned, people have reported varying times. Hope you get it soon.
And of course the Man in Seat 61 would know

Thanks! -- It's only been a week or so, so fingers crossed! -- Carl
