We will be in Cinque Terre in May, planning a tour of Carrara Marble mines. Trying to decide what would be better. The basic hour tour, private tour for 6 with CT Tours Cave di Marmo di Carrera(at that time in our travels there will be 3 adult couples), or the 3 hour tour that includes lunch with traditional miner's meal this mirrors the private tour pretty much. Both the private tour and the longer tour are about the the same price, actually the private tour is a bit less at 40 eu per person. Also, if there are better or recommended companies? Here is the other site I liked for just what I would call open tours. http://www.carraramarbletour.it/en/tours/ 5 years ago we took the train from Pisa to Cinque Terre and going through Carrara we were intrigued by the area so now that we are returning we are adding this to our itinerary.
