Hello there,
My husband and I are flying to Venice for 10 days during the Carnevale and would like to find out whether somebody attended a ball during the celebration and what their experience was like. Most of them (Ballo del Doge especially) are very expensive, over €3,000 per tix and costume rental, so i want to make sure we are doing the right thing before singing up.

Thank you, yes, i read this post on TripAdvisor as well, which had a few opinions - the English one was bad but the Italian one was fantastic. Thank you :)

It will be interesting to see if you get any responses on this board from anyone who has attended such an expensive event. My hunch is that this is a different crowd, but we'll see. Good luck.
