If you are ever in the town of Carmingnano near Florence, then we HIGHLY recommend staying near or at hotel Villa Michele for one reason only. The restaurant Enoteca Ristorante Antica Torre. One word-Fabulous. We ended a two week trip through Tuscany and the meal we had here was by far the best we had during the entire trip! The chef is an absolute artist and the prices were low compared to the quality of the food and total experience. If we are ever in the area again, I'm making it back here. It would be worth the drive if you were within a 45 minute drive from any surrounding area.
