car service or taxi recommendation for early flight

I need to catch a 6:15am flight out of Fumicino Airport of Rome. Romecabs seems to be widely recommended by a lot of travelers. Unfortunately they are booked for the morning. Romashuttle does not have any availability either. I will be staying at a B&B place so I can't ask hotel staff to arrange the taxi for me. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have the very same problem, but for Venice. What I'm doing, and you can do this in Rome, is to get a hotel on your very last night very near the airport. In Venice I booked a hotel only one mile away so it would be a very short taxi ride.
You should look up airport hotels for your last night in Rome! Are you leaving soon? Have a great time!!!!!

Oh, one more thing. Maybe the shuttles are booked, but what about another taxi company? When I was in Rome in 2005, I didn't stay in a airport hotel on my last night. I arranged it with a taxi that it would be an even $50 and no more. He agreed. That's still a lot of money, but I imagine it could be even worse since the airport is so far from the middle of Rome.

Word of warning - last year while in Rome we had the person working at the hotel order a cab for the next morning. It never arrived. We tried to hail a cab, but when the driver found out one had been ordered he refused to take us. After about 10 more minutes of waiting we hailed another cab. When that driver asked if a cab had been ordered we told him no. We got to the train station just in time!!

Ha! sounds almost like question I posted below so check out answers to my question also. I still haven't come up with a really great (cheap) answer to my question about leaving early (6:15a.m.) from Leonard da Vinci. Beverly

Get a hotel next to the airport for the night before!

Staying in Vienna in September, we had a 6AM flight to AMS to US. On previous visits to Europe (every summer) we have always flown to the airport that we leave from to go back to the US the day before and spend one night in a hotel close to the airport that has a 24 hour shuttle. This year we chose to leave the morning after a RS tour from VIE instead of flying to AMS as before. We had to get up a 3AM to get to the airport (no problems encountered). We ended being up 27 hours before we finally arrived in Seattle. Never again.
