I also wish to thank all of you for help in planning my 3 weeks in Italy and Sicily, and especially Rick's book on Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. On that note, I wish to add the name of a very fine private driver for the Amalfi Coast: Roberto Di Palma operates Amalfi Coast Destination Car Service. Go to www.amalficoastdestination.com. Email:[email protected]. Roberto speaks perfect English, is professional, personable, informed, reliable and at reasonable rates. Thanks again to all.
We are in Rome just now and last week we went for a tour to Pompeii and Amalfi coast with a limo service in Rome. At first sight it seems a difficult task to visit Pompeii and Amalfi coast starting from Rome in just one day but it's not! We decided that the most important place was the Amalfi coast, so we visited Pompeii without a guide, just reading our bookguides, in less than 2 hours and then we spent the rest of the day visiting the Amalfi coast. The road leading to Amalfi defies description! Even more interesting than Amalfi itself! And the food... I've never enjoyed such wonderful food in my life. To all of you visiting Rome I think it's worth visiting Pompeii and Amalfi coast in just one day and back to Rome without staying the night. I wish to thank Andrea Santucci, owner of Tiber Limo, the limo service company in Rome that we chose. They are very professional and we can recommend their service. The website is www.tiberlimo.com
