Has any one used this service seems to be the cheapest 90 ero's . we want to book a full 8 hours driving tour and was told around 220 ero's.Seems to be very fair. We would like to do a cooking class in amalfi/ Ravello any suggestions? We would also like to see some wineries mozzarella farms ect ect. I'm a Chef so would like to see it all. What do you think the weather will be like late October?
Thanks
I don't know. I always a little cautious about the cheapest for fear that is what I will get. As a Chef, do you want to eat at the cheapest restaurant.
However, my original reason for responding. Weather is always difficult to predict and depends a little bit on the region, but our preferred time to travel in Italy is mid Sep through Oct. We generally find the weather to be mild and dryer. I would bring a light jacket and an umbrella but we use the umbrella more in April/May than Sep/Oct.
You were given a number of suggestions on your "moving on down the road" post.
Were these not what you were looking for?
Yes Gerri all good suggestions not knowing the area does not help but im slowly figuring it out.i did reach out to Almalfi car service but never got back to me.
thanks
Without hesitation I recommend Stephanie and Gerry from Sorrento 1st Choice Car Service. Email [email protected] or call 0039 3683044208. They met us in Rome and we enjoyed a quick drive to Sorrento. We detoured to Pompeii for the afternoon and they arranged a wonderful English speaking guide. We powered through the jet lag and really enjoyed the afternoon. Yesterday we spent the day with Stephanie touring the Amalfi coast visiting Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. She pointed us in the right direction in each town and left us to explore and eat. They are both very reliable knowledgeable natives and watching Stephanie negotiate traffic on the hairpin turns along the coast vs busses and scooters was nothing short of inspiring! They will haul us to the Naples airport tomorrow for a flight to Venice - if we can force ourselves to leave the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori!
