There is also a very convenient FAL (Ferrovia Appulo Lucana) Metro train that connects the BARI AIRPORT to the BARI CENTRALE train station. From Bari Centrale then you can take one of the frequent Trenitalia Regional trains to Monopoli, the cost for the entire trip from the airport to Monopoli is less than 10€ per person, and not much longer than the drive. I think you can purchase the whole train ticket for the entire journey directly at the airport.
