We are a family a five (adult children) who will be taking the train to Cinque Terre in late April. We then plan to go to Tuscany and will need a car to get to our rural accommodation and to explore the heart of Tuscany. After Tuscany, we will be returning to Florence for one day before our flight out the next day.
Any thoughts on the best place to rent the car? In La Spezia, Siena, or somewhere else? We would not want to have to return the car to La Spezia, but I think returning it to Siena or somewhere else in Tuscany would be fine. We would then take the train to Florence. Just trying to figure out what might make the most sense. Also -- we would be renting on May 1 which is the Labor Day holiday, unless we change our itinerary.
