We will have a car for a few days in the Dolomites & will pick it up in Piazzale Roma in Venice. After the Dolomites, we will head to Varenna, Lake Como for a few days. Can anyone suggest what town to drop the car off en route to Varenna? It needs to be a town where we can access the train after dropping off the car & then easily get to Varenna on the train. Thank you in advance for any direction you can provide.

Sheron, My suggestion would be to drop the car in Verona. I don't know where the rental agencies are from Verona Porta Nuova, but they can't be far. It's an easy trip from Verona to Milano Centrale, where you'll transfer to the Regionale to Varenna. If you haven't already bought tickets, you could do that in Verona or even when you're in Venice.
