Car rental locations?

Hello-
We plan to travel from Switzerland Jungfrau region to Lake Como for a wedding. It seems simpler for us to rent a car for our time in Lake Como, since the wedding is in a small town not accessible by the ferry. (at least that's the plan right now, unless we can get more information on taxis.

If we're arriving from Switzerland by train, where could we take the train to rent a car that would be near Lake Como so we could drop it off and get a train to the airport (Malpensa) when leaving?

It's a bit tricky to answer when the only information you've provided is that you're coming from Switzerland and going to lake Como. If you are coming from the central parts or Ticino, there are trains to Como, which would be an easy option. But if you are coming from Graubünden there are places north of the lake where you can rent a car.

You might also want to consider if you actually need a car. The ferries are not the only way to get around the lake, there are also buses and trains along the shores

Como has car rentals within walking distance of the train station - per Google Maps looks like Hertz, Avis-Budget, and Europcar are all there.

However depending on your train route I’m not sure you would pass through Como.

Thanks- we’d be in the Jungfrau area of Switzerland. The village where we would be staying in Lake Como has few transportation options according to the Inn.
