We are planning to rent a car while we are in Tuscany and have found "carrental.com" on line with really good rates.
Does anyone have experience renting with this group? What was the experience like? We were planning to rent with a local company but it is signifiantly more expensive.

Many prefer to stick with AutoEurope.com, which is a Connecticut consolidator, or with Hertz. Most of their cars are picked up at Hertz anyway. My car rental 4/12 is with Hertz, due to a special Gold Card promo with my company. If you read on Rick Steves' closely, you will find many U.S. car rental names that have European partners that cause severe customer problems. You need to be careful on European car rentals.
