I am trying to find a car rental company in Sapri. We plan to take the train from Salerno to Sapri, and I was hoping to rent a car in Sapri to explore the area. I have googled everything I can think of and am coming up with nothing! I see there are car rentals in Salerno, so I guess we could drive to Sapri from there, but that is not my first choice :) Anyone out there with any info?

Of the large rental companies, there is only Maggiore, but it's a bit further south in Praia a Mare. I checked the yellow pages (www.paginegialle.it) and there are only local outfits in the area, and not even in Sapri proper.
Personally, if you plan to rent a car in the area, I would rent it from your departure point (where are you coming from? Rome? Naples? Salerno?). Salerno is probably the best option closest to Sapri.

It's less than two hours from Salerno to Sapri, and you can stop in Paestum on the way.
