I need to rent an automatic transmission car at the Palermo airport that is big enough for 4 adults plus bags. We decided on a Class C Mercedes offered by Europe By Car. I used a credit card to pay $845 to the Europe By Car agent and several days later was advised that the car is not available and the agent will check with Alamo for an additional $120. Now I don't know if I have a car at all and am wondering if I am also out close to $1,000. Anyone have any words of wisdom for me?
