Does anyone know if the Hertz car rental, or any other car rental is still open in Orvieto?
After several attempts at finding a car there, I always come up with an error. I heard the station was closed, but I find that odd. Where is the nearest car rental? I’ll be coming from Naples, and plan on staying in Montepulciano and working my way to Siena and dropping the car in Florence.

You have to go directly through Hertz to book for their Orvieto office. Consolidators like Auto Europe don't cover this one. Alternatively, you have a couple more agencies near Chuisi train station (Hertz, Avis, Europcar).

Thank you, Laura, for that helpful information about the car rental. I had called AutoEurope and they told me the Orvieto office was closed, so going direct with Hertz is great! That helps me with my hilltown planning!

Priceline.com also recognizes the Hertz office in Orvieto.
