We want to rent a car in La Spezia after visiting Cinque Terre. How easy is it? Do They have the selection their. Going through AutoEurope. Any help appreciated.
There is an Avis car rental in La Spezia at Via Fratelli Roselli74/76 We are doing the same thing but next May. You can check this out on Auto Europe or deal at home direct with Avis. We are dropping ours off in Orvieto.
Good Luck
Autoeurope will display the selection of cars they have on the day you want to rent in La Spezia. You can either choose to rent there or perhaps take the train farther to Pisa and rent from the airport there.
My husband and I rented a car in La Spezia from Autoeurope. The office is located about a 10 minute walk from the train station. We were early but they accommodated us with a car within about a half hour of our arrival. We thought it was easy. We didn't choose a car, we took what they offered. I can't remember what kind it was but it worked fine for us. We always choose a compact car, stick shift as they are cheaper. If you rent with AutoEurope, keep checking their website and if you see a lower price for the same time frame, they will credit your credit card and give you the lower rate. We've rented from them several times as well as leased a car for over 17 days stay and have never had a problem. Make sure you get the CDW insurance.
When you check the autoeurope website for available cars it will give you samples of the type of car you will get. You don't get a guarantee that you get exactly that car, more likely it will be a similar one. When I filled out our reservation I thought we'd get a Peugeot but we ended up with a Fiat Bravo. Not a big deal as the most important requirements were met: size, hatchback, diesel. I'd strongly recommend to rent a diesel as they are much more fuel efficient.
