Is it hard to rent a care in Florence and do I need a travel agent to do it? What company do you recommend? We will have an international license.

No you do not need a travel agent
We always book our cars thru AutoEurope.com with Full insurance/Zero Deductible
If what you have is an International Driving Permit then you are covered (all drivers must have along with their home issued license )
Be sure to do your homework on driving in Italy-ZTLs, parking, tolls, speed cameras, bus lanes etc
