Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a car rental agency in Cortona? We are there for 2 weeks in March and I'm considering renting a car to reach some of the smaller villages. Are there any villages that do not have train access directly?

We rented a car last summer in Cortana from sixt.com. Worked out fine. I think the rates are much better if you reserve from the USA then if you try to walk into a rental agency when you are there. There is a lot just below town where you can park your car for free. It's at the base of the escalators. Another option would be to pick up your car in Perugia if you're taking the train, because the rental agency is right next to the train station. And yes, many villages do not have train access at all, nor is it that convenient even when they do if they are hill towns.
