We will be leaving Manarola and then renting a car to drive around Tuscany for a couple weeks. My understanding is there isn't a car rental office near the train station. Is our only option to take a taxi from the train station to the rental agency office or are there agencies that will bring a car to the station for us?

Hi Cindy - So easy - You can actually rent the car at the station as I have done quite a few times - website included. Enjoy Cinque Terre and please - walk the trail from Manarola to Riomaggiore - only about a mile of flat, mostly paved area with a Cafe halfway for a cold beverage. Pic Include.

We are renting a car from Avis and we will have to take a taxi to the Avis office in La Spezia. We do need a larger car for 4 adults and was not aware that some companies do rent at the train station. Ours is already ordered but perhaps you should make sure as to what Company is renting at the train station and as RS says it is cheaper to rent here at home than over there. Make sure you have and international drivers license plus your own as well.

Is the Sixt office really at the train station? When I put in the addresses to the office listed on their website, it is different than the train station...
