Car rental

Never heard of them. They seem to be only a broker (as opposite to a car renter) with not many mentions on the internet and with many sound-alike url's such as mrandmrsweddingcarhire.co.uk (seriously!). So I wouldn't do it. Also do not use autoeuropa (different from autoeurope - a reputable broker), locauto, or goldhire.

Autoeurope.com does get high marks here and on other travel sites. As pointed out, it's different from Autoeuropa.com which does not get high marks.

Agree with the suggesion for Autoeurope.com - I have friends who use Autoeurope every year and have never had a complaint.

Yeah, I would avoid Autoeuropa.com. I've not used Mr. Car Hire, but I have used http://www.easyvoyage.co.uk/cars/comparison and I've been satisfied with it. I would recommend them for most destinations. They also have great travel guides and articles if you need any tips!

Thanks everyone. Just the info I was looking for. Main reason posted the mr car scared us as a broker for what car companies seemed too iffy. We will check out the good Europe cite and book:)
