what's the best company to rent from in italy? best vehicle (for a family of 5, including 3 teens)? is it easy to rent in one city and return in another? any rentals available when leaving CT? how hard is it to drive into rome and return a rental? thanks, tg

The best vehicle would be a large station wagon or a small van.
It is easy to rent in one city and return in another.
There are no rental agencies in the CT. Take the train to La Spezia or Pisa and pick up there.
Do not drive into Rome. Return your rental at the airport and take the train into Rome.
