Hello, we are picking up a rental car from Rome airport and dropping the car off at the Europcar location in Siena at Viale Europa 23/25. We are staying in Siena for two nights after that. I can't figure out how we will get from the car rental drop off to Piazza Gramsci. Any suggestions/advice are much appreciated. Thanks! Sherry

Have the folks at the rental counter call a cab. It’s about a 7 km ride. Shouldn’t cast more than €10-12.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just checked the hours for the rental car company and they will be closed when we drop off the car

Mid day? This happens often. We go someplace for awhile and return when they open.

Google Maps shows a taxi stand nearby on Viale Europa as well as taxi phone number. It also shows stops for the local bus line on the larger state road.

I saw the same thing on Google, and thank you for pointing it out, too. It also looks like I can walk from the car rental location to my hotel. It will be about a 50 min walk which should be fine on a Saturday afternoon. Thanks again for the suggestion.

If it’s a Saturday afternoon the office is likely closed. They open in the morning only on Saturday.
