car rental drop off at La Spezia

We are renting a car in Tuscany. We are thinking of using AutoEurope. We are going to pick up in Pisa and drop off at La Spezia before we head to Cinque Terre. There are two drop off locations in La Spezia. One is located at Viale San Bartolomeo 515 and the other is located at 74-76 Via Fratelli Rosselli. Whis one is closer to the train station that takes us ot Cinque Terre? Does anyone know? Thanks

From viamichelin.com, it looks like Via Fratelli Rossi is a short distance from the train station. If you're planning to drive in Italy, Viamichelin is a great resource.

Jennifer... we did this exact trip in May, only we rented from Auto Europe in Venice, drove around Tuscany and Umbria, dropped the car off in La Spezia and took the train to Vernazza in the Cinque Terre. We dropped the car off at San Bartolomeo and took a short cab ride to the train station. La Spezia is much bigger than you might think. In our car we rented we had a GPS navigation system. We were very grateful we did because it got us there easily.

Jennifer, My husband and I picked up our rental car from the Via Fratelli Rosselli location in La Spezia. We walked from the train station, about 15 minutes. Keep your eyes open as the office is in with a travel agent office. Avis is in the back.

Thanks to Ms. B for the confirmation.

So there's no confusion, Autoeurope represents several agencies and you don't necessarily know which until you get to the address on your voucher. No worries, Autoeurope is great. But that's why you may see several addresses for offices in a small city and why Ms. B refers to Avis in LaSpezia.

Take the train from Pisa to La Spezia in about 45 minutes - what's the need to renta car for such a short trip that is directly on the main train line?

Bob, is correct. It's less than a one-hour train ride to La Spezia from Pisa. Ticket cost is 16 Euro. Unless you plan on driving around before going to the CT, the train is much easier.
