Hello! Trying to decide where to drop off our car near Rome. We will be picking up our car at the Florence airport after arrival to spend some time in the Tuscan countryside. We will be heading to Rome from Pienza. Unfortunately it seems the Rome Triathlon is the same day as our arrival to Rome so I am hesitant to return the car to the city center. We normally use Auto Europe. Thinking either the Rome airport FCO and train to the city or perhaps Chiusi or Orvieto. Any feelings? Looking for an easy low stress place to return the car to avoid the race mess.

Dropping cars off at FCO is easy. Don't have to contend with city driving, and then it's a quick stroll to the train platform from the garage.
There's a Hertz in Orvieto too iirc, if you plan on going there

That is what I was thinking. It was slightly more expensive to return it to the airport so I was weighing out our options.
