Can anyone recommend which car rental agency to rent from in Rome that is good and honest? I was about to book through Europcar and saw a bunch of really bad reviews. Thanks!

AE is not an agency. They have no cars. Anything that happens once you drive out is between you and the agency that owns the car.
AE often lines you up with Europcar. Europcar is one of the best ones around. It might be the only one that's never disappointed me in some way. Were the bad reviews related to a single outlet?

We have always used Hertz and have never had a problem.
