Hello all,
First time posting (though I might have posted back in the 1990's at some previous iteration of this website).
Here's the background-- we are planning a trip to Umbria at the end of April. We will be flying in to FCO on April 30 and taking the train to the Perugia rail station, where we're planning to pick up a rental car for six days. When checking on Autoeurope.com, it appears as if there's no option for "no deductible" coverage. I called their toll-free number to confirm this fact. However, Autoeurope.eu does list what they term "refundable excess."
So, the two questions I have are the following:
1. What is the difference between "refundable excess" and "no deductible" ?
2. Are there any problems with renting through Autoeurope.eu vs Autoeurope.com?
Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me.

I'm surprised that the no deductible option is not available.
I tried on AutoEurope.com entering as pick up locations "Perugia All Locations" on 4/30/2024 for 6 days and clicked on the "no deductible" coverage option, and both AVIS and SICILY BY CAR have availability for about $450 for the 6 days.
I think you can rent from either website without any difference. But call AutoEurope and ask.
Thanks, Roberto. I was putting in "Perugia Rail Station", which pulls up Avis and Budget with only the inclusive rate at the rail station. Adding "all locations" gives me the Europcar option with no deductible; the office is close to the rail station.
