I will be driving into our hotel in Central Verona in September. How do I get the necessary permit from the city to drive in a restricted area of the city?

Your hotel can get you permission to unload and load (they will give your info to the police), but I doubt that you will be able to drive in the historic center.

What's the name of the hotel? It may not be inside the ZTL.

If they have onsite or nearby parking, they may have a temporary permit you can use.

Your Hotel is in the ZTL, however that's not a problem. All cars may enter during certain hours, as seen at the following url where there's also a good map: https://www.comune.verona.it/nqcontent.cfm?a_id=30870 Your hotel can also register your license plate number (targa) for your arrival and future use after you get there if needed.
