Car from Sorrento to Naples Airport

What seems a reasonable price for a car or taxi from Sorrento to the Naples airport? We have a flight too early for public transportation and really want to spend our last night in Sorrento. Thanks.

Whatever it takes to get you to the airport on time.

In June,we enquired and were quoted at least 80-100 euros to the airport.Taxis in Sorrento were very expensive, and charge extra for each piece of luggage, and passengers. We caught the airport bus-only 7 euros per head.

Yes, there is a bus but the first one out of Sorrento is at 6:30am. If Mary's flight is after 9:30am, she should be OK. If before 9:30am, it's taxi time.

Hello Mary,

The Circumvesuviania was on strike the day we had to get to Naples Centrale for our ride to Rome. The taxi cost 220 euros. Yeah we got hosed, the strike caused a vacation nightmare. Traffic to Naples was heavy and the taxi drivers knew they had us over a barrel. Thank goodness we found an Irish couple to help pay the fare. If I had to do it again I'd take a boat to Naples harbor then Naples city bus to the airport. Naples is a lousy hub. A traveler's hell!!!

We did this in October. Our hotelier at Il Nido in Sorrento arranged a taxi to Naples Airport, with pickup at 0615 for 80 euros (plus tip) for two. Travel time to the airport was 75 minutes. Money well spent, we were in Venice by 1000.

We are in Sorrento right now, our third time here. We hire a private driver to take us from Naples Airport to our hotel in Sorrento each time and once, from here to Naples because it was really early in the morning. He charges 100 Euro's. He is a wonderful man and speaks fluent English. His name and phone no. is: Antonio Prudente 011 334 1590159
and his email is: jps@blublu.it Just a thought about Ed paying 80 Euro's {plus tip}, I believe that is the shoulder season and prices may be lower then...I haven't shopped around because we like Antonio so much.
