Car ferries to Rome.

I know that Rome is NOT a port, but is there a city on the Italian cost that is a designation for Rome. I guess my question is, is there a car ferry from Palermo Sicily to a port near Rome? Any advice would be welcomed. Vito, Michigan USA

The Rome port is Civitavecchia, North and West of Rome. Depending on your plans, Naples might be as easy and have more frequent connections.
