Any suggestions on which car factory tours are best around Modena?
Ferrari in Maranello is near.

Maserati is also based in Modena

Ducati and Lamborghini are in the Bologna area.
Pagani has a factory tour as well. I think it's just a 20 minute drive from the Lamborghini factory.
I've read that you have to go through a Ferrari dealership or own a Ferrari to get the inside factory tour, but I could be mistaken.
I'd like to visit Dallara. They're a race car maker who are right on the cutting edge of development, but have some interesting history too.
My Italian geography isn't great, but they're in Parma, which Google tells me is a 90 minute drive from Modena.
Maserati offered no tours when we visited in 2024. The Ferrari museum, conversely, was extremely enjoyable even for a non-enthusiast such as myself. The history of the marque and of the Ferrari family is really fascinating. Full disclosure: we did not seek a factory tour.
ETA for Gerry M: Modena to Parma is only a half hour by train. There's quite a bit more non-automotive stuff going on in Parma.
If any of the car nuts are interested in Dallara, I'll link to a YouTube video which piqued my interest in their facility in Parma a few months ago. They launched a road car recently, the Dallara Stradale, and this excellent video, featuring esteemed motoring journalist Henry Catchpole, gives a look at the Dallara Academy as well as a review of the car. The car itself is a really interesting bit of engineering; a supercar designed around a four cylinder engine.

Some in the US may know them from their involvement in the IndyCar series.
