Capri to mount solaro

We are staying in Capri. From Capri how do you get to mount solaro or the chair lift. Do you know how much the chair lift costs and how much time is needed. Also, Do you walk down or how do you get down from the top and how long does it take? Thank-you

We took the bus from Capri to Anacapri. If I had to do it again, I would spring for a cab because we wasted a lot of time waiting in line for the buses.

I don't remember how much the lift cost, but it wasn't much. The scenery from the lift and from the top is well worth it.

You can ride the chairs back down or you can hike down. We didn't have time to hike, but if I ever get to go back, I want to hike down.

We stayed in Anacapri and didn't have to deal with the bus. The lift is located just off the main square in Anacapri. The bus from Capri drops you off at the square. We took the lift up and walked back down. The lift takes 15 min. and the walk down (depending on how fast you walk) 20-30 min. It was a very pleasant not difficult walk. It says in RS book for 2007 6.50E round trip and 5E one way. The taxi's are very pricey. If you can find more people to split the cost it would be worth your while.
