With a free day based in Sorrento would you go to Capri or Ischia? Why?

I've been to Capri but haven't been to Ischia, but from what I've been reading for a potential return to the region, Capri is much more compact and easy to get around. Capri can be very crowded, so plan carefully to stay ahead of the tourist sheep.
