The tour group we're with is offering a full day of The Amalfi coast (from Sortento) for $144 per person to include all transpotation, taxes half day tour. Is this worth it? Our first trip to Italy. Could we do this day ourselves less expensively?
Thanks!!!
Regarding costs only, you probably can do it yourselves less expensively. You mention Capri in your heading but not in your post; is that a major part of the tour?
Look at specifics of what the tour offers. Sounds a bit rushed to me, but if you try to cover the same ground on your own in a day, you will be rushed - a terrible thing on the Amalfi Coast.
Any chance you can go to Capri from Sorrento one day and to the Amalfi Coast the next?
My mistake first on the price. It's $119 per person and we will be in Sorrento. This is the day before we leave. Full day optional tour to Capri by boat. We Visit Anacapri and shops on our own then Continue to see “La Piazzetta,” and the Gardens of Augustus. Tour includes: local guide, round trip transportation to port, round trip transportation by fast boat, minibus or cable car transportation on the island. Hopefully, this helps for a reply. Appreciate the feedback. Thanks!!!
This website has info on travel costs (and much more) to and on Capri so that you can do a cost comparison.
Thank you!
