Hi, we have alloted Saturday and sunday to see Amalfi/positano and Capri/Anacapri. Not sure which day is best for the site I mentioned. Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately both days will be busy because, in addition to foreign and Italian tourists, there will be weekending/day tripping local visitors enjoying time away from the towns/cities around the Bay of Naples. Because of that I would not like to say which day would be better. Maybe sit on the fence and say that one is as good as the other?
What time of year? this past may (mid-month) I was in Capri on a saturday, positano on a sunday, and amalfi/ravello on Monday. All three days were just as busy in the towns and on all the public buses. I don't really think it matters. These are touristy areas so most things will be open on most days.
Prop about the same but ck with your hotel to see what they advise.
Hi Debra, it's for the end of this month ( June). Linda is right, both days will be busy. I will follow JS advice and check with the place we'll be staying.
I am wondering if anyone has travel there in late September and if you could recommend whether to travel to Capri first or Pompei. We arrive at 3:00 p.m. on the 29th and depart Oct 2nd to Rome.
