Great idea to stay for a few days on Capri rather than doing it as a day trip. Fighting the crowds of day trippers, tour groups, and cruise ship passengers who descend daily doesn’t do justice to Capri or your time there. Capri
is beautiful; if you possibly can, take some time to enjoy it.
Stay at the Capri Wine Hotel. The Capri Wine Hotel is a reasonably priced and beautiful accommodation. The views are spectacular from the hillside vineyard, lemon grove, and vegetable and flower gardens. Raffaele and Elena are perfect hosts, putting out delicious breakfasts served on an ocean-view terrace with Vesuvius in the distance. Elena was extremely helpful, with great restaurant recommendations and suggestions as to how best to plan one’s time on Capri. There's no comparison between being subsumed by day trippers and a quiet and peaceful stay in a beautiful place.
