Do you need tickets and which is the best website for buying them?
Here's their website:

When I went it was part of a tour, and Francesca Caruso is the best tour guide I've ever met, if you're interested in that: https://francescacaruso.com/itineraries-2/
Well yes you need tickets
Not usually necessary to purchase in advance

As mentioned above, you do need tickets, but purchasing them upon arrival is not an issue.
No need to book overprices tickets from a third party vendor like Viator as shown in one of the posts above. Just walk over to the museum and purchase the tickets.
Timely question as I was about to ask the same!
For those responding tickets do not "usually" need to be arranged in advance, does that apply to this summer (2025) with the Jubilee, do you think?
I was there in March and there was literally no one on line. Summer might be a touch more crowded but I think it will probably still be fine to buy tickets when you get there.
