We are looking for a new hotel in this area. Our previous Dei Dogi Hotel was a Marriott and we used points. It is no longer associated with Marriott, and is just too much. WhAt do you recommend, with breakfast? This is our favorite quite area, tho I would consider a hotel near the Academia , for next spring. Thx so much!

We stay in apartments in Venice, so I have no personal recommendations. But a quick look on satellite view brought up these two, both with excellent reviews. The first one is near the public pool where my husband swam daily, so I am familiar with the location.

This one is too ornate for our taste (we prefer sleek and modern, or rustic), but it does get great views.
I personally prefer the Dorsoduro area, and plan to rent an apartment near the Guggenheim Museum next time we visit. So if you would consider the Accademia area, the Hotel American-Dinesen might appeal.

Thanks to all, I've sent many direct emails for pricing. The properties look very charming !
Dei Dogi has gotten too expensive, now that we can't use Marriott points. I'm waiting to hear from Hotel Arcadia, as it looks like their booking site isn't taking reservations yet for May 2023.
We really the the quiet and calm of the Cannaregio area .
