We will be in Venice in four weeks, and this is our second visit. We are once again staying in the Cannaregio area. We are always looking for recommendations for great restaurants and gelato in the area. We tend NOT to like much seafood -[ I can hear your ughs!] We are not elite foodies, just like tasty meals in friendly settings. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We bought groceries and made dinner in our Airbnb in the Cannaregio. For lunch, mostly we ate pizza out since my husband is a picky eater.

Trattoria Bar Pontini on the Ponte Delle Giglie is excellent. Most places have non-seafood options, at the very least prosciutto and melon, vegetarian pastas, etc.
