Canal restaurant recommendation Venice

Hi!
I am looking for recommendations for a canal-side restaurant in Venice for next month. The menu needs to include meat as well as seafood. One that is on my radar is called Ristorante da Raphaele. Does anyone have any others to add, or comments on this one? Thanks!

Trattoria Alla Rivetta

I'm not one for effusive writing, but this place has great atmosphere, good food and reasonable prices.

Our experience has been that canal side places are usually overpriced and under quality. There is at least one exception however. It's named Trattoria Da Giorgia ai Greci. It is very close to San Marco and an easy walk from there so you can get away from the crowds. A bit pricey, but most places in Venice are, and the food is really great.

Thanks Joe and TC for the recommendations! Really want to be canal-side....all about the ambiance for my two nieces who have never been to Venice. :)

Hotel Bauer has a lovely outdoor seating option at their De Pisas restaurant. Reservations recommended.

We had dinner at Ristorante da Raphaele and enjoyed the location, sitting outside on the terrace by the canal. It was reasonably priced, and I remember that the fried potatoes were very good. It was fun to watch the gondolas pass by. We were there in May several years ago. There was a slight odor from the water from the canal, but the ambiance and view were worth it. This is a lovely area to walk around.

If you can’t find a place you like, you could always just have a drink and snacks at a canalside bar.
Not necessarily alcohol of course.
There are a couple along the Canareggio Canal , with plenty of passing traffic on the water.
Or, cichetti at the place opposite the gondola makers yard near the Zattere.
You can take your plate outside and stand along the wall.
Not quite the same as a meal, but still fun and so much to look at.
