After checking with the Band of Nova Scotia what their charges and fees were and reading a thread about American ATM cards with NO fees,ss anyone aware of one here in Canada with no transaction fee charges.

No affiliation with citibank or citizensbank.com. It's a daughter of Vancity Credit Union, very strong ethical policies, very good customer service and a very good rate for a personal line of credit (right now at 4.5%). I used my ATM card in Germany and Italy so far with no problem. There IS a fee for the transaction but very reasonable. It's tagged on to the exchange rate so it isn't visible on my bank statement. But it simply meant that the exchange rate was average instead of very good.
big plus while travelling: my daily limit for ATM transaction was limitless! only depending on the limits of a particular ATM.
