My wife and Iare heading to Amalfi soon and are planning to take the ferry from Naples to Amalfi. The ferry web site says we are limited to one carry on but I cannot find definitive information if we can check luggage. I find it hard to believe that we could not but obviously want to be sure. Thanks in advance for any tips.

There are many different ferry companies so I don’t know which you are referring to but all allow you to bring your luggage
It’s not really a matter of “checking” it though
It will be stowed on board with all the other baggage
It’s usually just a matter of paying for your bags when you get your ticket-( basically getting a baggage ticket for a few euros) you will bring it on board the crew will stow it or direct you to stow it
How much luggage are you talking about?
You should always travel light-1 carry on size and 1 personal item like a large knapsack.

Thanks for the info! We travel light, one carry-on each plus a small backpack. I assumed this would be the case. I think NLG is the only one that goes direct between Naples and Amalfi . Their web site is helpful but did not specifically address luggage other than small personal carry-on, at least as far as I could tell. Thanks again.
