We are 3 adults looking for a B&B for 2 nights in Venice during Oct. All the ones listed w/ Rick Steve's are booked. Any suggestions? (We would like 2 rooms:
1 dbl & 1 single, non-smoking & quiet, yet accessible to the major sites, in the 75-150 euro/room range).
Since you are late in planning, I'm not sure what you will be able to find that will suit your requirements. Some recommend using:
Good luck!
You could check with B&B Giardini. We stayed there in May. Located in a quiet area with locals. A decent walk to St. Marks (maybe 10-15 minutes). It fits your price range.

you could hope for a cancellation however 75-150 is very low for Venice and could be difficult. try Mestre, adjacent and on bus route to Venice. Hotel Novotel in Mestre has a shuttle bus to Venice and you can book online. www.accorhotels.com
Try Hotel Mercurio. http://www.hotelmercurio.com/en/
We enjoyed our stay there in 2005. It is off the main path - yet near St. Marks.
Try Domus Orsoni. It only has five rooms though. I stayed there in March and really liked it.
We ran into the same problem in late May. Many places want a minimum stay. We finally found the Hotel Messner. It's listed in Rick's book. It's at the Saulte stop on the Grand Canal just across from St. Mark's square. B&B for 115 Euro a night. Here's their email address: [email protected]
The hotel is very nice. It even has it's own restaurant for evening dining. Try to avoid their annex which is a fairly new property for them. It's separate from the hotel and down the canal a few hundred feet. While Hotel Messner is rated a 3-star, the annex is rated a 1-star. It's quiet and clean, however.
Thanks everyone for your replies! I have finally found a B&B. It is Casa del Melograno Inn or Locanda Del Melograno. It's in the Cannaregio area & rated highly by TripAdvisor.com & by guests at Venere.com.
You can try Hotel Locanda Fiorita.
