Can someone help me with Covid test timing question

We are flying through Frankfurt on our way to Rome and planning to go to Lufthansa lounge as our layover is 6 hours. They require a test within 24 hours to get in unless you are boostered. My husband is still within his 6 months of second shot and will not have his booster rest of the family has been boostered. We land in Frankfurt on 4/1 at 10am when would he need to do his Covid test? We leave California on 3\31 at 1:30pm. Any info is appreciated I think he needs the test on day we leave but just very confused with timing. This is what Lufthansa states
CURRENT NOTICE: Please note that to access our lounges, you must present a negative Covid test (max 24h) and either a proof of vaccination or recovery (2G+). No test necessary for guests with 3rd vaccination (booster).Children up to the age of 6 are exempt from these regulations.

Why not just get the booster?

5 months from 2nd shot is the recommendation

I think he will need to get tested the day you leave at a place that does quick turnaround for results. I am super nervous as things keep changing and already have an appointment for a test the day before we leave (have both my shots and the booster).

If he is able to get boosted 2 weeks before your trip, I would recommend that.
