I have usually arrived in Venice via train or by taking the bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma and the vaporetto from there. In those cases, buying a vaporetto pass is easy in front of the train station or at P.le Roma. However, in April 2025 I will be traveling with a friend who has more limited mobility and we may spring for a water taxi from the airport to our hotel (which has a water taxi stop). However, I would like to purchase our vaporetto passes before we leave the airport because our hotel vaporetto stop, San Stae, does not have a ticket booth or kiosk. SO, do you know: Can we buy vaporetto passes at the VCE airport before going to the water taxi stand? Thanks!

Yes, there are kiosks outside by the bus stop, and also I believe you can purchase at a desk inside.

Yes! I bought a combo pass (Vaporetto and bus from the airport to P. Le Roma) at the Venice airport in October 2022. There are vending machines in the luggage claim. When you exit the luggage claim, there are desks where you can buy Vaporetto tickets (that’s where I got mine).
In retrospect I wish I had sprung for a water taxi…I think you are making a good decision. Have an awesome trip!
