Hi Some friends will be going to Rome in early October to visit their daughter who is studying there. I"m looking for recommendations for b and b, pensione, convent or apartment rentals in the Campo dei Fiore area.

Maggie, we stayed in this apartment right off of Campo dei Fiori: http://www.flipkey.com/properties/view/120334/balestrari/ It was lovely! The price was right, it was clean and spacious, and we were perfectly located to walk everywhere. We'd love to stay there again.

In July 2006 we stayed at Hotel Smeraldo which is very close to Campo di Fiori. Rooms were smallish but the great a/c/ more than made up for this. Would stay here again. In 2002 we stayed at Hotel Italia which is closer to the Colisium. Very nice and would stay here again too.
